Annex C — Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP“) sets out the standards that apply to any content you upload to the GulfGrid Platform, as well as to any contact you make with other users of the Platform.

This AUP is in addition to, and supplements, the Platform Terms of Use. All capitalised terms used but not defined in this AUP have the meaning given to them in the Platform Terms of Use.

You warrant that any content you upload to the Platform, and any communication you make with other users of the Platform, complies fully with the standards set out below. You are liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty.

1. PROHIBITED CONTENT

You must not upload, post, transmit, distribute, or otherwise make available any content (including but not limited to text, images, audio, video, links) that :

1.1. Illegal or harmful content

• Is illegal under the laws of the United Arab Emirates or any other applicable jurisdiction;
• Promotes or facilitates any criminal activity;
• Contains child sexual abuse material or exploits minors in any way;
• Promotes or glorifies terrorism, violent extremism or any violent act against a person, group or animal;
• Incites hatred, discrimination or violence on the grounds of race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic;
• Constitutes defamation, harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation, or invasion of privacy;
• Reveals another person’s private information (including phone number, home address, government ID, financial details) without their explicit consent.

1.2. Intellectual property infringement

• Infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, database right, moral right or other intellectual property right of any person;
• Contains counterfeit branding, logos, or product photographs used without authorisation;
• Offers for sale counterfeit or replica goods represented as genuine.

1.3. Adult, obscene or offensive content

• Contains pornographic, sexually explicit or graphically violent material;
• Contains obscene, vulgar, or offensive language;
• Is otherwise offensive to public decency in the UAE context.

1.4. Misleading or fraudulent content

• Is false, misleading or deceptive, or omits material information;
• Impersonates any other person, business or entity;
• Manipulates or falsifies information about the item, service or event advertised (including price, condition, mileage, location, availability, ownership, provenance);
• Offers fake or fraudulent services (such as “guaranteed sale”, “car export scam”, or requests for advance payment without corresponding delivery).

1.5. Sensitive or restricted goods and services

• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or any weapon whose sale is restricted by law;
• Illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia;
• Alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes or vape products (subject to strict UAE regulation);
• Human remains, human tissue, organs;
• Live animals (except where local law expressly permits and via appropriate specialised platforms);
• Ivory, endangered species, protected wildlife products;
• Counterfeit currency, government documents, ID cards, passports;
• Radioactive material, hazardous chemicals;
• Any other item whose sale is restricted, licensed or forbidden under UAE law.

1.6. Financial and legal misconduct

• Money-laundering, ponzi or pyramid schemes, cryptocurrency scams;
• Unregulated financial products or investment offerings;
• Escrow services, guarantee services, or any financial intermediary service by non-authorised parties;
• Offering to buy or sell an item at a price manipulated to launder funds.

2. PROHIBITED BEHAVIOUR

You must not, on or through the Platform :

• Send unsolicited advertisements, chain letters, spam, or bulk messages;
• Contact other users for purposes unrelated to the Listing they have posted (for example, to advertise your own services or products);
• Use the Platform’s messaging or contact features to harass, threaten, intimidate, or defame another user;
• Attempt to solicit users off-Platform in a way that circumvents GulfGrid’s role (for example, redirecting users to a third-party marketplace to complete the transaction);
• Create multiple Accounts to circumvent bans, evade fees, manipulate ratings, or artificially inflate the appearance of activity;
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to interact with the Platform without our written permission;
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Platform or its underlying systems;
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform or any related system, or breach any security or authentication measures;
• Post the same or substantially similar content in multiple Listings (spamming Listings);
• Post Listings in categories where they do not belong (for example, listing motorcycle parts under “Cars & Go Karting”).

3. USER-TO-USER INTERACTIONS

When communicating with other users of the Platform, you must :

• Be respectful, courteous and honest;
• Not use vulgar, offensive or discriminatory language;
• Not make demands or requests that go beyond le scope of the Listing;
• Not engage in high-pressure sales tactics or coercion;
• Respect the other user’s stated communication preferences (for example, phone vs email vs WhatsApp);
• Not share, screenshot, republish or otherwise distribute private messages exchanged with another user without their consent.

4. REPORTING VIOLATIONS

If you become aware of any content or behaviour on the Platform that you believe breaches this AUP, please report it to us immediately at contact@gulf-grid.ae with :

• The URL of the offending Listing or message;
• A description of the violation;
• Any evidence you can provide (screenshots, communications received, etc.).

We will review the report and take appropriate action, which may include removing content, suspending the offending Account, or reporting the matter to law enforcement authorities.

5. ENFORCEMENT

Any breach of this AUP may result in the following consequences (in our sole discretion) :

• Removal of the offending content, without notice;
• Suspension or termination of your Account, without notice and without refund of any fees paid;
• Permanent ban from the Platform, including any future Account you may attempt to create;
• Reporting to the competent law enforcement authorities, including full disclosure of your identity and communications;
• Civil action for damages arising from your breach.

By using the Platform, you consent to these consequences.

6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this AUP from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page and will apply from the date of publication. Continued use of the Platform after such publication constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
